Cruise Monkey?

Cruise Monkey started as a joke with my co-workers. I said I was willing to work as much overtime as was needed to help pay for our trip – the trip had become the “monkey on our back”. And in a creative moment, I cut and pasted together our cruise monkey. He’s actually Captain Stubing from the series “The Love Boat” with the happy monkey face overlaid. That seemed appropriate since we're sailing on a Princess Cruise. Stare into his eyes too long and you just might book a cruise too!

Wednesday Sept. 24th - Faenza, Italy

On our excursion today we visited the cities of Faenza, famous for exquisite pottery, and Brisighella, renowned for its Brisighello olive oil.

In Faenza, we first visited La Vecchia Faenza, a pottery studio, where we were able to see them creating pieces.











Next we walked to the Piazza del Popolo, the town center. Vehicles are not allowed except for deliveries and everyone seems to bike.

 
 

Then we walked to the Museum of Ceramics. It used to be a convent and some of the galleries were actually the Nuns sleeping quarters called cells.
