Friday, Oct. 10 - Travel Home

Friday we boarded a plane at Charles De Gaulle and flew home. It was an amazing trip and I hope the first of many more epic adventures!

We'll be sailing in May 2015 to Alaska on another Princess Cruise in celebration of our 30th Wedding Anniversary! :)   We'll actually be at sea for our anniversary - just like we were for our 1st anniversary!

Wednesday, Oct. 8 - Paris

Our first full day in Paris! I think we could spend an entire year here and still not see everything. Unfortunately, I became sick as we arrived in France and the weather was cold and rainy making me feel worse.

We did see a lot from our tour bus and actually got off and had lunch at the Eiffel Tower.

Our plan to go to Disney Paris was, sadly, canceled due to my being sick. I spent most of our remaining time in France in bed in the hotel room.  :(

 

Tuesday, Oct. 7 - Travel Day

On the 7th we checked out of the Hilton in Barcelona and flew to Paris, took a train out to our hotel and settled in for the night. Figuring out the train and buying the correct tickets was quite an ordeal!

Who knew the best burger ever would be in France??

Monday, Oct. 6 - Barcelona sight seeing

Our 2nd day in Barcelona we once again used the hop on, hop off buses to get around and see as much of the city as we could. Barcelona has so much amazing design and architecture.

 La Sagrada Familia which is always under construction depending on the amount of funding available.

They are SERIOUS about their ham!!

Sunday, Oct. 5 - Barcelona Hilton

We disembarked the Regal Princess and took a cab to our hotel - the Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona, we had a great room with wonderful views of the Balearic Sea. We were lucky to find a really nice Italian restaurant directly across the street from the hotel since we hadn't had much time to explore.

Sunday Oct. 5th - Disembark in Barcelona

Sunday, Oct. 5th was the end of the cruise portion of our trip. The Regal Princess was an amazing and beautiful ship. We had a great time on board!

We disembarked and got our big suitcases set up to be shipped back home and caught a cab to our hotel here in Barcelona.

Farewell Regal Princess!  We hope to sail with you again!

Saturday, Oct. 4 - Toulon

Our next port was Toulon France. I loved, loved, LOVED this area! We took a tour that brought us to the town of Sanary Sur Mer and then to the town of Bandol.

Friday, Oct. 3 - Florence

Well, after Wandering around Rome we were pretty worn out, plus the tour that we wanted to take was sold out, so we decided to stay on board and relax.

We watched some cargo ships get loaded, I finished the jigsaw puzzle and relaxed. We also took this day to pack our big suitcases and decide what we'd be keeping with us for the rest of the trip.

Thursday, Oct. 2 - Rome

In Rome, we took a private train to the St. Peter's Square train station where we walked from the station to St. Peter's Square. We took the hop on, hop off bus to see the majority of the sights including the Colosseum,then re-boarded the private train back to the port.

Rome was amazing and we had the best lunch of the trip at a little trattoria near St. Peter's Square.
