Cruise Monkey?

Cruise Monkey started as a joke with my co-workers. I said I was willing to work as much overtime as was needed to help pay for our trip – the trip had become the “monkey on our back”. And in a creative moment, I cut and pasted together our cruise monkey. He’s actually Captain Stubing from the series “The Love Boat” with the happy monkey face overlaid. That seemed appropriate since we're sailing on a Princess Cruise. Stare into his eyes too long and you just might book a cruise too!

Tuesday Sept. 23 - Embarcation

We finally got our internet access straightened out, so we're going to catch up on the past three days, starting with embarkation on Monday.

Part 1 of the adventure is over... and part 2 is at the door. The boarding process with Princess was really smooth, the best organized of any of our previous cruises.

We're sailing on the Regal Princess, the newest Princess cruise ship. It's so new, it hasn't even been christened officially yet! This is the sea walk, which extends out over the water. As you walk on it you can see the water below!
