Cruise Monkey?

Cruise Monkey started as a joke with my co-workers. I said I was willing to work as much overtime as was needed to help pay for our trip – the trip had become the “monkey on our back”. And in a creative moment, I cut and pasted together our cruise monkey. He’s actually Captain Stubing from the series “The Love Boat” with the happy monkey face overlaid. That seemed appropriate since we're sailing on a Princess Cruise. Stare into his eyes too long and you just might book a cruise too!

Tuesday, Sept. 30th - At Sea Day

Today was our second at sea day and we happened to pass another (older) Princess cruise ship headed the other direction. They blew their horn and we responded with ours; however, our newer ship plays the theme from the show "Love Boat" as its horn! It was hilarious!

This was the day that we decided to celebrate our 29th anniversary. Our room steward, Anulfo, decorated our cabin door with balloons and a "Happy Anniversary" sign.

Also, it was the second formal night and having missed the first one we wanted to make sure we attended. Bob Bond looked dashing in his tux.

We chose the traditional dining for this cruise, which meant we had the same waiters every night. They were a great duo: Luis from Mexico, and Robert from Macedonia. After dinner, to celebrate our anniversary, they simulated fireworks by whistling then slamming the heavy menu covers shut. It was great.
