Monday, Sept. 29 - Mykonos, Greece

Our excursion in Mykonos got cancelled due to high winds and potential high seas. For the same reason, our ship couldn't dock at Mykonos, but stayed offshore and we used tenders to get ashore.

We were impressed by how pretty the water was and how pristine the houses were -- everything whitewashed. Streets were very narrow and cars, even small ones, had trouble getting around.

 

We had lunch at Kavos Fish Bar and Restaurant. It was kinda cool to have authentic Greek food -- in Greece!

We were surprised at how many cats were roaming around saying "νιαούρισμα"... (meow in Greek).

It was a lovely day.

After we got back to the ship, we relaxed, had dinner, and then saw a Beatles tribute band called "The Beatle Maniacs". They definitely played to the age of the audience... made us feel young! We ended the evening with gelato.
